Professional Summary

I’m a veteran videographer and non-linear editor. My experience with local, national, and international video production and live broadcasting gives me extensive knowledge of all aspects of audiovisual production, editing, studio production, live broadcast transmission, and facility management.

I have management experience, as a team builder and leader, as Chief Photographer supervising a staff of nineteen videographers and editors at the top-rated ABC network affiliate in the nation. I expected a high level of technical excellence for over five hours of newsgathering, post-production and live broadcast daily. I evaluated, hired, and scheduled a team of dedicated professionals, and provided opportunities for further training and professional education. I inventoried and replaced consumable stock, and maintained and purchased durable broadcast-quality equipment. I kept a fleet of nine crew cars, three microwave vans, and a satellite uplink truck safe and on the streets 24/7.

In 2003 I was a contract consultant on a $50 million Department of Defense contract on-site in Baghdad, Iraq. I trained, mentored and equipped a group of skilled and highly motivated Iraqi cameramen. The team I was on put into action Iraq’s first successful broadcast television network, al Iraqiya, from the ground up in a combat environment, in ten weeks.

I’m skilled in all aspects of non-linear editing, video formats and web compression CODECS. I’ve edited for international network broadcast, web applications, corporate or government presentations, and social media using FinalCut Pro Studio.

I keep current on contemporary network level technical standards/practices, program distribution practices, and related technologies. As a highly motivated professional, I’m able to work both independently or as part of a team under tight deadline pressure and exacting technical standards.

I have over 750 hours’ flight-time on the WESCAM aerial camera system, and in-depth knowledge of microwave, satellite truck and Portable Uplink Package operation.
